📘 What Is Catnip?
Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a perennial herb from the mint family. Its name comes from the powerful behavioural reaction many cats have to it — typically rolling, rubbing, and joyful chaos. Not all cats respond, but those who do will usually experience playful, hyperactive behaviour for 5–10 minutes at a time.
